Hey all. Experienced roofer looking to see if anyone was headed down to the hurricane hit areas ? I`m personally looking to help some people out , make some money and add a dash of travel/adventure to my life. Yeah, Im staying put also. I run a business here and do not understand how "roofers" can afford not to keep their local customers happy.

Yeah Shane being down in Port Charolette I`m sure you still have a bit of work left from last year for you. My gram was livin in punta gorda when that storm hit.

Most of my work is between ft meyers and north port. Tile roofs in PG are still about 1/4 done. Q I know what it means. But its PG.

I personaly think as a group (that i am really not part of) Might want to think about how we can help the victims in LO and MS rather than how we are going to profit. I just seen a few people on tv that have been refused help since they have a hotel room. I think this is completely wrong. Some might disagree. But this is a full blown tragity. I am asking not for donations i am asking if you are in the area to help those truly in need of medical care and needing water. Dont send anything to me send it to them. Please this is really a touchy subject but i have to post like this. If you think about it, this will some way effect us all. Shingles are made from oil. Hence more money. Lets help out. Im a long way from them but sent 200 hundred dollars to help them with whatever they need. Personally IMO we should respect the fallin, Praise the living. and help the needy. God knows they need it more then we do.

With that i know this season has not turned out to be what we had all hoped but if we stick together on pricing this would really never have been a problem to some extent. The market has fallen out this year. With this tragity it will only bring more dispair to our business. Gas at 4 bucks a gallon. Either way maybe than cutting each others throats we should become united as one and help eachother. Hey there are roofers in those states that are hurting.

This is just a thought. Take it as you want. Either way giving is better than receiveing. Anyday. Makes yea fell happy.

Not sure what all that meant?

I know it's quite a tragic thing over there, I can't even watch the news. I won't be donating money though cause when 911 happened I donated alot of dough, but the survivors and etc didn't get what they should have they got skimmed.

While we think of our own tragedy's lets not forget this same thing is happening in other countries that aren't nearly as strong as the good ol' USA. They still stand strong even when at their weakest. We will make it through this.

Don't really see why people built there to begin with it's a big bowl. Hopefully the people whom lived in those areas search for higher land and plant new roots.
