Just had to say something about the roofer death due to falling article. It was very interesting I agree. Here in my area OSHA is very strict about fall protection. Ladders have to be at least 3 rungs or higher, jacks and boards if it's 16 ft. off the ground. I forgot the specifics on the harnesses but I tend to bend that rule cause I think its a bit unreasonable at times. I will put one on at 10 pitch(16 ft.) so OSHA don't fine me. I do believe it's a lower pitch though. When your up 2 stories you are required to have a harness and bottom boards, No matter the pitch. 3 stories is when you have to put in fence type jacks and boards, and harness no matter the pitch. I think they got a little to carefull but that's one thing around here they enforce strongly. I had known 3 roofers that fell to their death last year, all friends or co-workers. I didn't see any of them die but I was at their funerals.

G-Tape you might be able to get an OSHA approval on the tape.
