Some punk chuke stole one of my Hitachi's. I am so sick and tired of my tools getting stolen. Took it right out of my car in my own drive way. So were up to like 8 tool belts fully loaded, One ladder 3 times, 2 compressors (1 gas 1 electric), a few pitch guages, 5 4-way splitters, and a bout a million air hoses. OMG Any one else care to inventory? Dang scoundrels!

Sorry to hear about that SYS.
Knock on wood in the past 10 years all I've had ripped off was a ladder this last Memorial Day weekend. I left the ladder standing on the new house and when I got back it was gone. It was just a 24 ft. x'tension aluminum Werner that was at least 5 years old. I bet the guy who lived next door took it since he wasn't happy he was getting company!! Let's just hope the new owner falls off it! Hey, it was time for a new one anyways.
My uncle has had about 8 Hitachi's stolen from his work van parked in his drive in Minneapolis in a 2 month period last year. My brother in law had two new Hitachi's stollen a few months ago.

We haven't been hit too bad. The majority of the problems are with employees leaving stuff laying around. We lose stuff all the time like that. That is why we now make the employees have as many of their opwn tools as possible.
except for the Big Box store parking lots, every once in awhile we will get something taken out of my truck. The 2 biggest things were a Paslode framer and another time, an air compressor.
My #2 guy did get his whole van cleaned out at a Lowes. They took about $5000 worth of tools. Some customers caught the guy a few wekks later trying it on someone elses van. The customers surrounded the car and took the guys keys. The guy locked himself in his car until the cops came. Never did hear what happened to the guy.

There was one time my partner left 2 hitachi's sitting right on a front porch in plain view in a real bad neighborhood. We freaked out thinking someone stole em from us the next morning. We were stressed out the whole way to the job. We get there and there they are just sitting there waiting on us. That was a good day! Best luck I ever had
Maybe they woulda stole the G-Tape if they coulda pawned it for drugs too.
