I am a homeowner in the Kansas City area currently taking bids on a re-roof. Which underlayment should I go with?

Fiberglass vs organic. We know fiberglass is srtonger and more water resitant than paper. I use on ost jobs. Certainteed Roofers select. Same as shingle mate.

None of the roofing companies have mentioned Certainteed. Would they be able to get it?

Go with the better felt it's worth the money. Stays on better in the wind and lays straight.

Both the GAF and Certainteed felt are safe bets.

Stay away from Tarco or any cheap Home Depot or National home improvement stores felt.

$10.00 for 4 sq vrs. $20.00 for 4 sq's of the good stuff.
