since we all must know a little bit of carpentry, I was wondering what is the rate per foot for carpentry work? like extending the rake board to match the old existing one on a addition,, or plywood , rafter repair,, can I get a reply on this?

If it were me, I would charge for the repair instead of per foot, or per piece. Small repairs cost more. I figure time for doing the job (material acquisition and drive time included), overhead for the day, labor, and profit. This way I do not give my work away or work for nothing other than the bills.

i figure what my time is worth per hour to make business, then i estimate how long does it take me to demo , pickup , install, haul away trash.
then i add the amount for the materials, sometimes i throw in there some cushion money
i totally agree with G-tape , Pride and a little Master
