I need a new roof. Have two contractors bidding. One wants to use a rubber product by Firestone, one wants to do a modified bitumen installation. I'm very confused and need help. Want to go with the best system.

The integrity of the contractor has more to do with a quality roof than does the system choice out of the two offered. Make sure the roofer is reputable. Then make your decision. Both of those systems have been known to hold up well.

I've gotten bids from six different contractors, the two I'm torn between have excellent reputations and have recommendations from many people I've known, many with several commercial properties who have done alot of roof
jobs. My main dilema is not with the particular contractor, I think both are excellent, I'm just trying to go with the best type of roof. This is alot of money for me to spend, and I want to be sure I make the best choice and the one that will hold up the longest.

Go with the one with the better warranty.
